Ideas always welcome

I create hand-drawn, stylized illustrations of chips, components, dev boards, tools, and other things related to the maker world.

In a previous post, I talked about the pressure to stay creative, come up with new designs constantly, and a bit of my creative process.

Commissions and ideas from you
But these designs are not wholly from me. I do get suggestions from time to time.

One of the first chip designs suggested to me was the Commodore and MOS SID chips, famous for chiptunes among retro-computing folks.

I made so many design variations based on these chips (the MOS and the Commodore versions), because the chips and the logos have history, meaning, and style.

Also, I have two designs from the makers of dev boards who asked me to apply my hand-drawing style to their boards. Interestingly, both developers were not only from Europe, but lovers of Commodores and Amigas.

What’s with all the retro-computing? Haha.

For these designs, I did get feedback on what I drew, but they both gave me quite a bit of freedom.

Open to suggestions
I enjoy discovering new chips and boards, so I’m open to suggestions from makers, engineers, and hackers.

Do you have a fave chip or board you think would look cool hand-drawn on a shirt? What about a circuit or component?
